Mikhail Alperin seeks in its highly sectarian music to an ideal of simplicity that supports a spiritual message. Alperin carries with musical means, helping to sustain the spiritually formative forces of Europe to one another. In his work, traditions meet in the Eastern Orthodox Europe and the traditional folkloric, enriching each other mutually. He manages to build a bridge between aesthetics, ethics and spirituality and introduce elements of the musical language of the East in the concert halls of the West.
